Meet K. Brooke Shoultz
Mediator/JD/LLM Taxation
She was always told by her grandfather, Col. Russell Dailey, USAF (Ret.) that “education was the key to everything” and she took these words to heart and ultimately obtained her Law Degree from Loyola University New Orleans, School of Law and her LLM in Taxation form Boston University. Upon graduation with her LLM, she returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to begin her career.
In the summer of 2004, Brooke began working in Mobile as a young tax attorney for Sirote and Permutt, PLLC, a large Alabama law firm with locations in Birmingham, Mobile and Huntsville. She lived in Gulfport to be near family and friends and commuted to Mobile each day. Then Katrina hit! Brooke and her family all lived near the beach and all lost their homes in the storm.
It was this event that prompted Brooke to begin her career in Gulfport because she wanted to be a part of the recovery. So in February 2006, she left her job in Mobile and started practicing law in a trailer in downtown Gulfport.
Brooke soon met the Blacklidge family who own a large asphalt emulsion business headquartered in Gulfport with locations throughout the Southeast. She worked with them for more than sixteen years in a number of positions including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. Through this time she has also served a variety of legal and business clients in all fields of business. Most recently, she has begun serving as Chief Financial Officer for a Commercial General Contractor in the Southeast specializing in senior living facilities.
It is through this extensive experience that Brooke is uniquely qualified to serve as a mediator for all business matters and disputes. In her more than 20 years of experience with all sides of businesses, there is nothing she has not seen and helped navigate through. Let her put her years of expertise to work for you and your clients to help get your disputes resolved and your focus where it should be, on growing your business!
